I can imagine that many of my friend's parents wished they had such things when we were growing up, but if you're not protecting your stash from under-age-drinkers maybe you aught to be thinking about what's so damned important about some booze that you need to lock it up

but, if these were for drinking glasses, and available for use at bars, that would be a cool thing to prevent getting dosed... I've had it happen to me twice!

I'm sure kids will find a way around it, but for parents who are concerned about teens raiding their liquor cabinet (and worse refilling them with water or some other substance, ewww) this could do the trick and let their minds rest easier.

As a parent, I am always concerned about my daughters when they go out (they are adults, but still...) that someone will slip something into their drinks. So, they abide by a rule we set when they were younger - never leave your drink with anyone, period. If they had a lock on their drinks, they could lock - go dance - come back unlock and not have to waste the drink. It's a great idea. Wish I had it when I was younger.

I don't think the bottles that aren't in use should have a combination lock. However, I do think it would be a great idea at bars. Give the person a beer with a combination lock on it. The combination is printed right on the bottle. If they can't figure out the combination, they're too drunk and don't need to have any more.
