Would you risk your life for an animal ? why ?

They are our family once we purchase them they become family and they have a life as well

Because they may as well be babies. Like when my dog (when we first got her and she was a puppy) me and my sister took her for a walk to a school playground, and there were 3 guys there, a couple years older and they all 3 had much larger dogs. Well, they decided it would be fun to let them off the leash and chase after our dog (a mini dachshund) and their dogs attacked our little dog. Well, without thinking, I tossed my self in the middle, getting bit quite a few times, and rescued her, but that didn't matter.

In WWI when they still used messenger dogs their owners would often risk delivering the message themselves rather than risk their dogs.

I did, once. I simply wasn't thinking. My roomate's dog was down on the road and I rolled her on to my poncho and dragged her off, waving at cars trying to warn them off until a guy and woman in a truck and helped me get the dog to a hospital

Only if it were a pet, because then I would have an emotional attachment to it.

I wouldn't. Because I have to life for my family over the life of an animal.

People are animals, so ... hm

I'd risk my life to save my pet, my family members' pets, someone else's pet, a wild animal, and a person (humans are animals too). If there is one think I want to do before I die it's save someone else.

I have seen too many people hurt badly trying to help animals, as I hate pain so much I ain't going there!

Because they are like little people just cause they aren't human doesn't mean their lives hold no value. I fine some of the most happiest moments I have had have been with a little fur buddy. <3

But only if the animal is a human. I would never risk my life for a none human animal.

Humans are animals and I'd risk my life for certain ones. Other kinds of animals that don't talk as much are innocent and I'm not as sure about that. It depends on the animal, the situation, etc.

A $10 million race horse, sure. All others--adiose.

My life is more important

I prefer animals to people. They just sit there and listen and occasionally lick your face.

I have. Saved a kitten by dodging 7 lanes of traffic in Houston Tx that was smack dab in the middle why, because she was alive and I could.

Nope, not even a mili-second once I threw my truck into park out of traffic my door was open and I was "mad" dashing! Lol I got chewed out by my other half but it was worth it :-)

Because I'm an animal lover and their treated very poorly anymore!

If it was considered part of the family then of course I would, it's family. And if it's the animal pictured above then oh yes I would, men have died in wars for less, lol :)

I like some animals I'm just not going to get myself killed over one.

I used to think that way before, but not anymore - I'll tell you why. Once in Miami I was driving westbound on Tamaimi Trail (8th st.) to drop a friend off who lived in Everglades City, it was late and after you pass the Miccosukki Indian Gameing & bingo, "no more street lights". I was halfway there and Raccoons crossed my path, I lost control trying to avoid them and slammed into a tree. Thankfully no serious injurys from the passengers. but my car was a total loss. (And I liked that car too). So now if I drive again, and if any animal wants to play a stupid "Death Game" with me - so-be-it! I'M NOT SLOWING DOWN!!
