It would feel weird to me either way, but give me daylight instead of all darkness.

The light of day tends to annoy me more easily, I cannot stand waking up to sunlight threatening to blind me, which is why I always have my shades down and closed. I lack whatever it takes to be an early bird, deep down, I have always been a dark night owl. In the day you get the burning sun, at night you get the fantastical moon. In the day there is busy noise, but at night it seems to transform into peaceful quietness. There is not much that I prefer in the day vs the night. I love the darkness and I find it beautiful myself.

For a single day? No problem. I choose light. But at the same time, if it was only for a day, and the moon was full with clear skies, I just might choose night. :)

I live in a place very up north, due to this, every winter we get 24 hour days filled only with darkness, the sun rises up just for a bit but then sets down again. We have to get up to work in the dark, and come home in the dark. Our winter also lasts 5 months, so a large proportion of our population suffers from lack of D-vitamin. The first winter I came here it was interesting to adjust my lifestyle so that I got used to living and functioning in the dark, but now after a couple of years I realize how depressing it gets every winter. It's terribly hard to get up in the morning, the constant tiredness gets pretty bad too and now that I have D-vitamin deficiency, I have to deal with the side effects of that too.

On the other hand, in the summer we get 24 hour days filled with sunlight, too bad our summer only lasts a month, in the summer I never get tired because my body is always on awake mode, I can pull many all-nighters and feel much more energetic. And you can always sleep in dark rooms.

Northern Alaska is in 24 hrs of darkness until January 22nd

Depends how far above the Arctic Circle you are & actually it doesn't get completely dark (at the solstice) more than halfway to the pole.
