    For some...a lot of stress involved in throwing the party, and it seems like when throwing the party I have no time to socialize at said party...too busy making sure everyone ELSE is having a good time!

    Definitely **go to one. Why deal with all the planning and hosting when you can just relax and have fun. Also if it's a house party you'd have to deal with making sure nothing gets broken and everyone's out by the end.

    It's a pain in the ass the cleaning after everybody leaves, and finding your room in a mess because people get in it, and your restroom all dirty. I know this from experience. D;;

    It's a lot of hassle and money, people destroy your stuff and I really wouldn't want cops coming to my house if it was "that" kind of party.

    I'd rather be able to go to a party, so I can split from people I don't want to be around or if I am tired. When you're the host/hostess, you're stuck there until the last dog dies.
    I'm not a party person-can you tell?

    I actually ended up canceling the party; it was kind of thrown together last minute (and it was for over 25 people) and it doesn't seem like it would be very much fun.

    Thank you very much though (:

    With the people I invite it's not an issue, as I never do the crazy parties where you have no idea who is there. It's a closed invitation with a select guest list, so I love having a party at my place.

    I'm ot really a party person, but if I have to be involved in one I'd rather someone else foot the food bill and cleanup. Plus, if something illegal happens and the cops come it's a lot easier to sneak out or convince them you're an innocent bystander if it's not your house.

    Throwing a party is too stressful and expensive. I threw an 80's party a year and a half ago. It was pretty successful, although I spent a ton of money and I was so worried people wouldn't show up or would have a lowsy time.

    Actually, neither. I love a quiet dinner for 8 persons maximum, whether it is chez moi or at my bestie's home. Good conversation, good food, great friendship are a wonderful mix. It is not about the food, that could just be guacamole and chips, it is the person's heart who invited us.
