at age sixteen

...is WAY too young and sixty is WAAAAAAY too OLD. The child is the focus, and it would be neglected by the girl and endangered by the sub-standard eggs and aged DNA (telomeres...the shortening, fraying ends of the chromosomes) of the senior citizen.

I became a grandparent at around 55 and it was and continues to be great! I would have been a terrible parent at 16. Not knowing enough about right and wrong or standing up for myself, let alone a child's best interest.

It's not ideal but if I had it at 60 I'd be almost dead by the time they're all grown up. :/ Besides, I have my own personal Gilmore Girls fantasy :)

I would never want to become a parent at either age, but I would prefer 16 because I think if I became a parent at age 60, I couldn't do much with my child and I would be so scared I was going to die while they were young.

I'd hate to give up high school, then uni, and work for a kid. It'd change my entire life plans.
When I'm 60 I'll be retired. Hopefully I'll live long enough to see them become an adult.

not saying I would. But if I did, I would be more fit to play with the baby and not break a hip when I pick her up. Age 16 would be tough to raise a child, no money, no expirience. But it would be easier for when the baby starts getting around walking and crawling...
