I prefer the look of people who naturally have skin much darker than my own, but i think people look best with their natural skin color.

I am Viking light! I had a tan only once and that is because I spent three weeks in Jamaica. Would have been criminal to leave without some color.

Pale, Tan is overexposure to the sun and not healthy for the skin, plus it really ages a person quickly.

but i dont want to use spray tans or tanning beds to get that way. nd being out in the hot sun doesnt work very well.

I would rather protect my skin from the damaging rays of the sun. Keep a youthful look rather then a dried out leathered look. And keeping skin cancer risk to a minimum cannot be ignored.
