..I carried mail once, and we decided rain is better because we only had to walk through it once; you slog through snow til it's gone...BUT...I live in CO where lots of rain can cause flash floods, whereas snow melts slowly and doesn't cause such flooding..

Sunshine would be my first choice. We don't see that much of the bright stuff during a Portland winter and it is missed.
Since that is not a choice I'll go with rain. You don't have to shovel rain.

Rain all the Way!!!!! I don't like snow. One time when it was raining, me and my friend went outside and layed on the driveway in the rain. So fun!

Of the two snow definitely. I love shoveling the driveway. Nobody bugs you and its so peaceful and quite.
