Nothing depends on you doing it and it's not a poisonous one.

Non-poisonous spiders and snakes?
Sure.
Centipedes?
Not so much.
You know, I was digging the ground last year(can't remember why now) but I swear I seen one that was the size of a small snake, it was about 10 inches and really thick in width. I had no idea that they got that big around here, needless to say it was quite disturbing.
