No, I have always tried to teach them that getting drunk is not the way to have a good time. And to this day my sons are 27 and 22 and they have NEVER seen me intoxicated.

It's not always irresponsible if the parents aren't and if they are at home or not planning on driving but I personally still wouldn't.

I don't have kids but my picture is of my sister and she's the closest thing to a kid that I've got... But no matter what I would never EVER get wasted in front of kids in general...

My oldest child is 36, my youngest is 26. None of my children have ever seen me in that condition. I have too much respect for myself and for them. My kids won't drink in front of me either.

Of course one needs to define what is "wasted". I haven't really gotten wasted in decades but today I will enjoy a few drinks in front of my daughter and she will probably have a couple too.
