It's not what you think. Who in their right mind would eat a snake?! The Albino Burmese Python in the photo is actually a cake... Many people have been fooled by the ultra-realistic image of the snake. But let's be honest: Even if it's not a real python, it still may give you the heebie-jeebies. Would you eat the fake snake cake?

Although she did a very good job making the cake, and snake meat tastes good; aren't the Albino Burmese Pythons on the indangered species list? (Can't say I could look the sanke in the eye and still eat a piece:)

I'd eat the cake maybe but not the actual snake. Not because it's gross but because snakes are my favorite animal.

I did eat rattle snake a few times and its not to bad to tell you the truth but heck yes I would eat that cake .

I am in my right mind have eaten snake before. Rattlesnake is a delicacy in my neck of the woods and recently I had python at a local restaurant.

No, just culturally different. It's not strange in my culture to eat snakes, just as it isn't strange in some countries to eat dogs.

I would eat it if it was a real snake. Skin him, gut him and cut him into proper lengths for roasting. I've never tried python, but I have found, of the snakes I've eaten, Copperheads taste really good.

My dad was a hardcore redneck and as kids we had to try everything including snake, armadillo, raccoon, gator, opossum, squirrel and other things. We didn't have to EAT it but we did have to try it. I can say snake tasted a lot less foul than gator ... which was more fishy than any fish I ever tasted.

Animals I plan to eat one day before I die: snake, dog, horse, spider, duck (haven't had it yet, sadly), and turtle. I will be crying while eating the poor turtle... :(

This Albino Burmese Python cake is nothing compared to the traditional Catalonian (Spain) statues as well as pastry made around Christmas called "Caganer" in the shape a peasant in the act of pooping as well as pastry made in the shape of poop. In 2008, they even created an "Obama caganer".
