You'll find that to a certain extent you already do. Isn't sewerage treated, the water treated further, then released into rivers which eventually feed reservoirs etc, before being fully purified for drinking? In London they used to say each glass of water had been through 9 pairs of kidneys before you drink it.
And as for water drwan from rivers then purified, just think of all the things fish do in it...
Would you drink that recycled sewer water? Even if its 100% purified?

However, we're dumping filtered waste water into the ocean, and then get clean water either from the deep mountains or from desalinization.
Therefore, either way, I don't think there's much difference..
It's all been recycled a few thousand times.
what, you have been drinking it every time you do. That is what sewage
treatment plants do.
Or water from springs.
