As long as it was determined that you were not too closely related.... why not if you love the person?

to start with it is a literal impossibility for someone to have the exact same last name as me. but if by some amazing miracle I should happen to meet some special guy with the same last name as me then yes. there is no way that something so small would keep me from dating/marrying him.

As long as I am no where near related to him, yes. Smith is a very popular last name, America has an ass load of people with the last name of Smith, and I know I'm not related to all of them, so why not? That way I would not have to get used to another last name.

Would not matter. At least the wife would not have to go through the trouble of name changing.
