I am one and have dated them and have also dating liberals. Some liberal ideologies are too big to get over but that's what dating is. Getting to know someone and deciding if this is someone you can live with.
So you're interpretation of "open minded" is prejudging over half of a nation as not datable? I'm quite conservative and have found myself very able to date people with very different opinions on many subjects. I couldn't imagine saying that I am open minded but would never consider dating an entire group of people.
...as long as they're not judgmental. I value all opinions, especially if you've thought through why you feel how you do. Even if you haven't, I have no problem with any perspective. Has no merit on how I feel about a person. If they happen to be on my exact wavelength, that's kind of cool, but not necessary at all. However, I hate judgmental attitudes.
