Hands down no question about it. I have seen him three times once at Woodstock and twice in Philly. The Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour with Leon Russel and the Shelter People and once with Dave Mason opening for him
I saw "Paul Revere and the Raiders", and Harry Belafonte with Miriam Makeba. Also met Frank Sinatra at a Fashion Show in a NJ dept store when I was in High School. No one knew who he was or that he would be famous. It was just before he made it big in NYC at a big movie theatre. Wrote it in a little notebook I carried then and forgot about it for 50 years.
I've seen Neil in concert and really enjoyed it. He puts on a great show and truly loves his fans.
I really like some of Joe's music, but I don't know if I could stand watching him perform. I'd rather hear him than watch him. He looks like he's in severe physical pain when he sings.
You know you are right. But I think thats his version of dancing and twisting to the music. We are not all born dancers. And it is hard to choose between them. Two totally different styles but I am one of those listeners who likes almost all music from Classic to rock and roll and even todays varieties of music. Especially like soul music but not street music..
I love Neil Diamonds Music. All thanks to my grandma. We would listen to his songs for hours :) My family and I just bought tickets for her to see Neil Diamond in concert. She's super excited <3
Hurray for Grandma. Where is the concert? Just curious. My concert days are over. That is one reason I like S.h. Keeps me in touch easily to older music.
That was in his early days when he was topping the charts.
I was sitting right where he came up the stairs so each time he came up he would talk to us. That's when my date told him it was my birthday. My name is also one of his songs which he sang.
He also did a two hour encore for just the back of the stage. It was the end of that world tour and people in Seattle still talk about that concert.

Cracklin' Rosie, make me a smile :)
