For $40 you can have a box that only has one function: turn itself off. ThinkGeek's Useless Box Kit arrives as a “pile of parts” you put together yourself (you’ll need your soldering iron), but once you’ve assembled it and snapped in two AA batteries, the device doesn’t want to do anything.

I have one of those. Mine is 17 years old. Commonly called a normal teenage boy. Uses Pizza instead of AA batteries. But otherwise functionally equivalent.

I read the whole thing, the post says 'A' useless gadget and what's pictured is an example of one, yes it does cost $40 and as I said it depends on the cost and still does.
