For $40 you can have a box that only has one function: turn itself off. ThinkGeek's Useless Box Kit arrives as a “pile of parts” you put together yourself (you’ll need your soldering iron), but once you’ve assembled it and snapped in two AA batteries, the device doesn’t want to do anything.

I have one of those. Mine is 17 years old. Commonly called a normal teenage boy. Uses Pizza instead of AA batteries. But otherwise functionally equivalent.

When I was six, I was given 10 dollars for doing chores so when I went to the mall with my parents, I bought this little plastic boy that if you pull his pants down, water squirts out at you from his little, plastic penis. I thought it was hilarious so I got it. And I still have it after 13 years.
