Texting on the mobile phone, yes, I prefer to talk.

But I need the computer and the laptop every day, as I am writing a lot, doing my e-mails and taking also notes, etc., at work and in private.

I have never texted anyone nor will I ever do it. That is why they call it a cell phone. I will talk to them on it and as I am not a young person or one working I don't need that feature.

My mum is self employed, she can't talk on the phone at work, but she can receive a text if I have to contact her. Just for me personally anyway :)

Bull. I am self employed and can make or receive a call, anytime I want. Unless I am on the phone at the moment. Being serlf employed allows you to make up the rules. If you can read and respond to a text you can to a phone call as well.

It probably depends on what you do being self employed. She doesn't have to respond, just if I'm letting her know I've got somewhere safe or am staying out.
