    1. It's the morally right thing to do regardless of laws to the contrary.
    2. The system is evil and corrupt and deserves to be thwarted in such cases.

    I'm not sure what I would do. I have a family and I would not want to put them in jeopardy because of someone else.

    some innocents end up in jail or the pen anyway regardless of innocence - the system's not fail-proof...anyway, if it was a really close friend, or someone who's definitely been through some rugged s*** through no fault of their own, and his/her innocence looked like it'd be major tough to support, i'd heavily lean toward keeping that person from an unnecessary life of hell

    Yes, because it's the right thing to do. I would also try to get him/her legal help to beat the rap. I think there a more innocent people in jail/prison than we would ever imagine.

    punishing someone for crimes they did not commit is just not moral. if the judicial system will not listen to the facts then i simply won't give them the chance to wrongly persecute an innocent
