Would you accept your child if they were Gay?

Oh, no. That's not what I meant. I just meant that I don't believe in gay marriage. I will be upset if my son turns out to be gay, of course, since it's against God's will, but I will love my child no matter what.

As long as you will love and support your child, that is what counts. Even if you don't like the idea of homosexuality...

The fact that the kid has to live feeling like he's let down his father and family is not okay. And to deny a child's lifestyle is to deny him.

You can't exactly force accept someone to like the fact he/she is gay. We're not talking about a parent letting them down all the time, or totally rejecting them.

If a parent loves the child, will support him/her (but isn't exactly happy overjoyed how they've turned out) it's better then full blown rejection and abuse. Not liking homosexuality is not really the problem, it's not being a responsible adult and parent and being heartless by not wanting to be in their life.... that's the problem.

If someone is homophobic or at least raised to think it's totally unacaeptable, but stay with their kid no matter what... it takes allot. I know people that hate homosexuality, but love their kid so much (despite hating what they do) they want to be in their life and remain as their mom/dad.

Like I didn't choose to be attracted to women, it just happened. I tried men, but it's not the same. I don't have the same feelings for men as I do when I see an amazing woman.

I have nothing against gay or bi people, so, especially seeing that they're my child, I would accept his/her sexual orientation.

Absolutely. However the tables are turned. My kids are straight and their dad is gay.

And there is no issue with acceptance of myself or of my husband. In fact, they were present for our wedding, as was their mother, my ex-wife (and best friend).

I could accept my child if they were gay, liberal, atheistic/any non christian religion, etc... but the ONE thing I will NOT tolerate is having a Pepsi fan in my house!
