Some people will pay for anything, especially in the US.

As a kid I tried to put my note up a chimney, it fell back into the fire. So I used toilet paper, it did rise up out of the chimney but in flames. I gave up and left a note by the milk that a mobile phone might help but he ignored it and some bastard drunk the milk!

Then my mother explained this big fat guy dressed in red would be coming down my chimney, so I've had gas ever since.

Yes

Way better than the one I had when I was in high school. She lived under a totalitarian regime and her letters were monitored. Toward the end of our being pen pals she and her brother had to go into hiding and I never heard from her again. At least I know I'd hear from santa at least once a year...

Well, only if he's 45-55, single, (sorry, NO Mrs Claus), handsome, secure, (as in pays capital gains taxes), excellent sense of humor, compassionate, responsible, and knows to keep his zipper up while on his runs. I have QUITE a list to share....

He's probably just way too busy. However, he only works like one day out of the whole year. He doesn't make the toys, the elves do. And, they probably start, like what, September for planning and maybe end of October for production? And all Santa does is drive the sleigh. The reindeer are the ones doing the hard part: making it fly. Sure, he makes a few appearances here and there before Christmas, like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. But even that doesn't take up much time. So maybe with all that free time, he does have time to answer mail.

Since everybody only write and remember him on xmas, and he is an old guy with too much to talk about, only rounded by his wife and some elfs, I am sure he will apreciate someone writing him something different from asking him something. But maybe he is out on vacations the other 11 months of the year.
