Yes they do! I know that sounds strange to some, but I look at them like their my own kids. They give me so much joy. My kids love animals too!

Our two dogs are from a man who wanted his Chihuahua mix to have a litter, not for the money. I guess you could say we "rescued" the brother and sister from going to the pound. And the third dog we got, the owners were "getting rid" of the poor little guy because they had purchased a "pure bred" beagle, and didn't need him anymore to keep their first beagle company.
We wanted this little guy so much!!!!! He was so skinny, had a "slave collar" mark around his neck from having the collar on 24/7! And his fur was in really bad condition. (can't believe the owners had a micro chip placed in him, but didn't do anything else to care of him) What made it difficult to rescue this dog was that it belonged to a distant relative down the street. But in the end, we're so happy that we now own him and he's in a much better home with lots of love!!!!
It's a GREAT feeling when you're able to give a rescue dog a better life! You can just see it in their behavior!

Yes, they do. I don't see how so many people can be so heartless to them. They're alive and are God's creatures. We are to treat them with respect, love, and gentleness as Jesus treats us.

Good for you! I wish there were more people like you out there. I've seen so many animals in just tragic circumstances. Its heartbreaking that you can't help them all, but I'm working to aquire some property to provide a refuge for all of the unwanted or neglected animals. They'll be able to stay as long as they need to. I'm hoping to find enough volunteers to help out with this project. It will be in Michigan where property is readily available right now.
