I think most of the people on this discussion are the exact stereotype that tattoed people hate. When you're not saying "oh, man what about when you're old blah blah...?!?", you're posting pictures of trashy looking chicks with bad tattoos. What will my tattoos look like when I'm old? Who gives a crap! I'll be too busy worried about taking a piss by myself. I'll spend the rest of my time looking like a badass old dude and hanging out with other badass looking old dudes while you just look like any old fart. :p Oh and I have a corporate job and an education. Not all people with tattoos covering most of their body are ignorant, trashy or "tough".

I can only speak for myself and I am rather heavily tattooed by some standards. In general on men or women I don't mind alot of tats but I dislike it greatly when they all run together. I prefer to keep my personal collection of large tattoos as individual pieces scaterred in different locations. I am currently in the consulting process of planning a back piece. I keep in line also with the underlying muscles underneath, all of my tattoos can be concealed and it is my choice as to wether or not I show them, certainly is helpful when trying to get a job.

Woman with multiple tats (large and noticeable ones) don't look right, and I apologies if that is offending. But imagine once they get older, and they begin to get tuckshop lady arms, they wont be to pleased with their tattoos then!

Men don't look to bad with a couple, Maybe a tribal tattoo on their upper arm, or one tattoo (not to large) on their chest. But overdoing yourself with tats is ridiculous.

i like the idea up to a point and might get one if i could decide what i want to live with the rest of my life ... as long as they are not "overdone" i think they are OK, but it sure seems like people who have them have to walk around in various stages of undress in order to show them off ... my youngest son (19) and i talk about getting tat's together, but i think we're really just playing along so we can think we're cool but not ever really have to go through with it ...

I hate tattoos. I'm so lucky that I escaped my teenage years without ever getting a tattoo. My sister left her teenager years with thirteen of the things, and now she wants about 7 of removed. I just find them unattractive. And, on women, I think they take away a woman's femininity (especially when they are on the arms). I just don't like them at all. I prefer natural skin.

really it depends on the person. I personally love tattos and plan on getting a couple myself. Buut they have to beable to be hidden. Sometimes tattoos that you cant hide tend to look a little trashy after a while.
