Lots of people sell things on eBay. But a real-life, albeit "slightly used," soul?! Yep. That's what Lori N. from Albuquerque, New Mexico wants to sell anyway. And she only wants $2,000 for it. After a car crash left her severely injured, Lori is attempting to gain her life back... by offering her soul to someone who can do something good for it. "What I'm gonna deliver is the opportunity for someone to save my soul. They can save it through prayer, they can save it through conversion..." Lori told an interviewer, according to Inquisitr. Do you think the idea is a good one?

INQUISITR.COM reports:
A woman is selling her soul on eBay, listing her non-corporeal person for a mere two large in an auction that is almost sure to be pulled if it hasn't been already.

This is sad. We need to pray for her, she sounds desperate.

Or you could send her what she really needs: a check.

    Money won't fix her problem(s).

It'll fix her foot. That's one of her problems. I would think providing the one tangible thing she does need, would make her far more open to the big-picture needs you want to provide. I would think that because she said herself that's what she's offering: a chance for you to try to persuade her. Don't get me wrong, I would think there are better ways to make money, and I think the whole idea is kinda silly; but she does have a very real financial need. I hear Christians all the time, offering to pray for people, but how often have you actually tried to BE the answer to THEIR prayers? In my rather extensive experience on the matter, it's pretty rare.

So are you saying prayer is less than money? Because if you are, you are sadly mistaken.

Well, I DO believe that prayer is largely meaningless, since I don't believe in God; but that really has nothing to do with this discussion. This woman has a practical need: money. She has a physical ailment, which requires money to fix. Now, I don't know what her religious views are, or if she is actually even interested in religion; but I know there is a person with a need. And whether she has directly asked God for help or not, I'm sure she has wished for help, because clearly she can't fill this need herself.
I'm sure you're aware of the story of the man in the flood, but in case you're not: he heard a radio report that the river was going to flood; but he loved God and believed God would protect him. The waters rose, and soon, the bottom floor of his home was covered. As he looked out the upstairs window, a boat came by. A man told him to get in, and that he would take him to safety. Our guy said "No, God will protect me. The waters continued to rise, and the man had to move to the roof. A helicopter came, and the pilot lowered a ladder, and told the man to climb aboard and he'd take him to safety, but again the man refused, saying "God will protect me". I trusted you to save me, why am I here?" God replied "I sent you a radio report, a boat and a helicopter. You tell me."
You and many other believers have the ability to be that radio report, or the Helicopter; but instead, you just keep praying that someone else will. How do you know you're aren't called to help her directly? And if you do, doesn't THAT glorify your god?

Selling your soul is not believing in God or asking Him for help. If anything, it is insulting Him by saying, "My soul is only worth what I sell it for."

But I ask that those who cannot help her with money contributions to help her with prayers. The prayers will grant more than any dollar amount will. If you do not pray then I'm sure the money you have is all you can offer her.

Nice story btw. Little things in life should lead us back to God. Hopefully you learned something from your own story.

I learned that Christians tend to pray, and atheists tend to help, but then I'd already experienced that, when I was the one in need. I can't give her the whole $2000, right now; but I'm gonna try to reach her, and see what I can do. Would you like her information if I find her?

This is funny, crazy and sad all at the same time. I feel sad for her that she has so little faith and is going about her healing in such a dramatic way. I hope she finds the help she is seeking.
