Lots of people sell things on eBay. But a real-life, albeit "slightly used," soul?! Yep. That's what Lori N. from Albuquerque, New Mexico wants to sell anyway. And she only wants $2,000 for it. After a car crash left her severely injured, Lori is attempting to gain her life back... by offering her soul to someone who can do something good for it. "What I'm gonna deliver is the opportunity for someone to save my soul. They can save it through prayer, they can save it through conversion..." Lori told an interviewer, according to Inquisitr. Do you think the idea is a good one?

INQUISITR.COM reports:
A woman is selling her soul on eBay, listing her non-corporeal person for a mere two large in an auction that is almost sure to be pulled if it hasn't been already.

Sad is really what I think. This lady got a raw deal and shes lost her hope, shes wanting it back and hoping someone cares enough to pay her to get it back.

One word, Voodoo. Her soul is probably running around somewhere in Haiti by now.

But there have been other, more morbid things put on sale on EBay. A soul is an interesting offer. Does the body come with the soul, or does it have to purchased separately?

its hilarious because she's stupid for it. but its horrible for her quote: "What I'm gonna deliver is the opportunity for someone to save my soul. They can save it through prayer, they can save it through conversion..." Selling her soul won't help her in that, its grabbing attention to herself, which makes me mad. If she wants to be 'saved' by religious means, she should seek or church. or listen to Air1 >.> want to sell your soul to be saved? thats not how you do it. you do it not by depending on wealth and other materials. jeez, this lady >.>

What I love is the humongous lack of empathy and compassion on this site. And no one on here seems to get it, to read between the lines, and that is more pitiful than the woman's request.

Critical thinking, compassion and empathy are in short supply in our young citizens. Sad.

critical thinking?? she wants to sell her soul on ebay! of all places, really. she could have just gone to a church if thats what she wanted (to be saved). and if shes really like this then sure, maybe something bad happened to her that she wants to leave her. but if thats the case, she should have looked for a counselor, shrink, gone to some mental hospital for some help. is it all that hard? is she too prideful to look for help? ...oh, that must not be it, because she's selling her soul for money. thats like a person giving their entire devotion as a servant or slave for a shelter, some food, and no way to leave. what if what ever it wrong with her is her fault? maybe she just wants attention. am i supposed to feel bad for her? pity her? anyone that actually knows who I am is very aware that I care for people and lives. but when someone does something as stupid as this, there's really no reason for me to see her any more than a fool. but it doesn't mean i'm saying she is any less human. if she needed help, she should have went looking for help. thats all i'm saying. empathy...with the way you talk about this its like you know how she is feeling. i know how it is too, but it doesn't mean i'm going to stop the way i think just because i know how she feels. maybe she's feeling ...

I've thought of that myself as well. but i'm not dead, obviously. i found something worth living for. not for myself, but for others. i stumbled into a part of life that gives me a reason to stay around, and its for people that i care about. maybe she should do the same. find something in this world that would make her feel like its worth it. because if you're living in the world looking to find what makes yourself worth it for them; you might as well be dead. but if thats not what she wants...then what is her real want to sell her soul. and as she states, she wants to be saved. if she wants to be saved, then saved from what? and considering its her soul she wants saved; she herself must have done something wrong. Is this enough "critical thinking" for you, ma'am? I may not seem compassionate here online, but if you could meet me in person you wouldn't be thinking that i'm not compassionate. i understand that this woman must be going through something rough, but it doesn't mean that she has to go ahead and want to sell her soul. i've had my share of words then. I may be young but I'm not missing anything in my life. i've been through a hell of a lot too in my seventeen years. So don't judge me by the light and letters you see on your computer screen. I'm better at understanding life than you think I am.Your turn...unless this conversation finishes here.

I apologize if I offended you, as that was not my intent. As a registered nurse, I've worked with many people, particularly women, who have done things in desperation that I would never have thought possible. I am on-call 24/7 as a forensics nurse, meaning I collect evidence (like in CSI shows) after alleged sexual assaults. I see the worst of humanity, so I know that we are often wrong when we begin judging another person's life, their story, their motives.

People don't always act rationally when they are under severe stress. We obviously do not know what has happened to this woman, nor whether she has a support system, health insurance, etc. Maybe this is an attention-seeking gimmick on her part, or maybe it's a desperate call for help. Do you see what I mean?

I'm sorry, I just don't like when someone uses the word empathy so loosely. I'm a big sister to not just my little brother but to many kids and teens that are close to me.
I understand what you mean now, but like I said...if she wanted help, she should have looked for some. Like a church...maybe whatever state her mind is in right now, its keeping her from thinking it'd be a good idea...maybe the thought hasn't struck yet. But still, if she needs help...putting herself on the internet like that is just leading to rude comments as you can see on this one question. Who knows where else the debate is being held about it.

Yes, she apparently has poor judgment, but like I said, severe stress, like PTSD, can cause anyone to act in a way they would not have done under normal circumstances. All I can do is pray for her & hope that people on sites like these will show better judgment, themselves, when being critical of others. That person could be them one day.

    Have a great weekend!

AND hilarious. This is funny because you can't really sell your soul. You don't own it, in the first place. Also, it is an intangible multi-dementional being. Once the woman dies, the soul leaves this plan eof existence. I say "its a bad buy." Get the toaster instead.
