Yea, when you have the biggest forest fire in your state's recorded history and half of the country's aerial fire fighting support there to fight it and the other half dozen fires going on ... that's exactly what you want -- to start playing politics instead of focusing on just getting sh!t done and sorting everything else out later.

There were 44 planes in the fleet in previous years and now it's down to 9.
Two crashed just last month, one had gear failure in Reno and the other went down in Utah.
Gotta love that decision to cut funding and multiple fires break out above & below Denver a few weeks apart.

Gosh..... I wonder how they started? Last year, it was Texas burning out of control.
