There are two things we really can't get enough of: deep-fried turkey and William Shatner. Which is why this public service announcement by State Farm insurance makes us really happy.
In the aptly titled "Eat, Fry, Love," Shatner talks of the importance of turkey fryer safety in order to prevent future fires. He does it as seriously as he can, but stuff gets pretty hilarious at the two-minute mark. We don't want to spoil it, but a "dingle-dangle" is referenced and Shatner gets pretty emotional.
But let's get to the point here, shall we? Up until this here commercial, we had never even heard of deep-frying a whole turkey. We're not saying it doesn't exist...but is it really a popular way of eating the main course for Thanksgiving? Who knows. It still makes us wonder, though. Would you ever have -- or have you ever had -- deep-fried turkey? If you haven't, you better get started. If not for us, for William Shatner.

i never cared to eat turkey
*For the people who have never tried it, but interested in doing so, please read how to do it properly. If you try to fry a frozen turkey it can result in death, and that is no joke. Please learn how to do it before trying*

I'm shocked people haven't heard of it. I guess it's a Texas thing?
