Everyone can have a different opinion on this, but it always comes back to the individual and their personal journey in life. There may be tons of reasons why, it just depends on the person's personal reason, I would say.

They just are. Speaking for men- whatever gives them "wood" that is what they are. I am a straight man- I never got "a woodie" over a man- so I am not gay. If I could get one from either a man or woman- then I would be bi. It is simple as that.

Initially, as I was coming out, I thought and would explain that I was bi because I had be deeply closeted and in denial, I didn't know or couldn't know the truth about myself. I'd explain I like the ladies too but preferred time with men. Truth was, I was never comfortable with women, sexually.

The day I was able to say "I'm gay" to myself and then to others.... it was the most liberating thing I've ever done.

I still don't know many true bi-sexuals. Those that I've met or know haven't had a date with a women in a long time and show up at Gay Social events usually on the prowl.

As a bisexual myself, I know that there has to be a physical attraction to both genders. However, the reason why I am bisexual is because I believe in the term, "Love's love, no matter the gender." I don't care if the person I fall in love with has a pair of boobs like I do. I don't care whether or not they have a penis. All I care about is the emotions I feel for the person, and the emotions they feel for me in return.

It's not summet people control, If we could chose, do you really think we'd chose to be someone that was alienated and bullied? Would we chose to fall in love with someone that was considered 'wrong'? Would we really want to live the rest of our lives being judged because of who we love?
