Yes and no. I have a friend that lives an hour and a half away and we have lost touch a few times, but still we are there for each other. But that doesnt go for everyone. I had another friend where the relationship was rocky and we tried to fix it but its not the same

Sometimes its better not to have some people in your life, well at least for me...or limit your time with them..that is what i do with that one friend of mine

Genuine friends, can work through problems, should any occur. I have friends that we have been friends for years and have never shared a cross word with each other. Maturity has a lot to do with the longevity. I have friends that have relocated, and we still keep in touch. He who finds a friend, finds a good thing.

If they're friends to me they will be. In the real world I don't 'friend' easily, but when I do you have a friend for life--unless YOU bail.

I had a friend on here, who told me she was so glad we were friends, would never want anything to happen to our friendship, but the minute I said something that she took completely out of context, I was blocked and our friendship was over. Guess she told a few lies to me didn't she? Oh well, it's her loss not mine. I don't need so called friends like her.

Sorry it happened to you as well. I know friends come and go, but for someone to say they really appreciated my friendship and I was such a sweet friend, and then do a complete turnaround, stab me in the back and trash talk me, rather pathetic I think.

She knows I did nothing wrong, I know I did nothing wrong, and God knows I was not at fault. I just hope she's able to live with her conscience.

Some will some won't. I think these days the concept of loyalty has been lost. The pop media has pushed assertion as a concept, but people use it as aggression. Too many people are lazy in their relationships and use friends rather than honoring them.
