Why were gas prices under President Bush "controllable", but now under Obama "not his fault?"

gas prices were $ 4. 15 a gallon under bush before the economic crash of 2008 that forced the price down to $1,85

Counter to what Obama says he wanted the prices to go up.

What's got ME pissed is that when oil was $140 a barrel after Katrina gas was close to $4 a gallon. Now oil is $105 a barrel and gas is close to $4 a gallon. WTF?!

INFO, Congress has been "dragging speculators" into congressional hearings for years, and every time, the economically ignorant Congresscritters get educated on who and what these speculators actually do... such as option fuel for airlines, FedEx and UPS fleets and mom & pop trucking companies that buy tens of thousands of gallons of petrol products every year. The Congress critters get to learn that speculators provide a vital service along with their NON-vital driving of prices up (and down) the ladder so as to benefit the clients that hire them.

Every time Congress "drags" these guys into their committees they get to go on TV and give the public a good show, then when the cameras are gone, they vote on how to assist the speculators in doing what they do... while pocketing the cash that the lobbyists for these speculators paid them.

So back to KCoat's question: What are you proposing?

Keystone Pipeline construction will directly hire thousands of jobs and indirectly support tens of thousand additional jobs during its build-out. In addition, the entire project is privately funded. As the Canadian oil will be sold to the global market regardless of how it gets there, the benefit from Keystone will be in the long term efficency of bringing the product to market, just as the TAPS pipeline did 40 years ago when Joe Biden was 50% of all the "Vote NO!" senators against building that Alaskan project.

Oh yeah, on my last 'Cruise Ship', we docked in Fargo ND and then sailed to Calgary Canada and all of the foreign born stewards and crew were from either Indonesia, the Philippines, Newark or MSNBC News and they all worked for tips! We had a great time sailing over the Rockies!

Gas prices are way out of control, I don't understand how 1 man can control the prices of fuel so I thinks it's irrelevant. With that said there are things the president can do to drive the price down.

If you want to stop exporting, try dropping the prices.

the only way of dropping the price is taking oil out of the commodities market .
