Why were gas prices under President Bush "controllable", but now under Obama "not his fault?"

Does the Democratic party really care about the poor person, the price of gas, and if they can find a job that they can afford to get to?

My opinion....

What's got ME pissed is that when oil was $140 a barrel after Katrina gas was close to $4 a gallon. Now oil is $105 a barrel and gas is close to $4 a gallon. WTF?!
AND: 2008 candidate Obama stated that he WANTED gas prices above $8 per gallon.
I guess he didn't mean while he was running for reelection with 8% unemployment.
I DARE U TO FIND ME AN ARTICLE OR A CLIP THAT SAYS THAT STATEMENT.
You can SATISFY some of the people "all the time" But you can't satify all of the peoplke some of the time.Maybe some day our opinion of Obama will change?
Canadian PM Blasts Obama on Keystone: The U.S. Is an Unreliable Energy Partner

Every time Congress "drags" these guys into their committees they get to go on TV and give the public a good show, then when the cameras are gone, they vote on how to assist the speculators in doing what they do... while pocketing the cash that the lobbyists for these speculators paid them.
So back to KCoat's question: What are you proposing?
the solution is to get oil out of the commodities market drag speculators into a congress hearing and declare oil a matter of national security
you dont believe they re gonnas pay $20/$30 an hour plus benefits when they can call india and the middle east and get $8.. an hour . do u? cause thats what i would do.
like they do on the cruise ships cheap cheap labor !
Oh yeah, on my last 'Cruise Ship', we docked in Fargo ND and then sailed to Calgary Canada and all of the foreign born stewards and crew were from either Indonesia, the Philippines, Newark or MSNBC News and they all worked for tips! We had a great time sailing over the Rockies!
i believe they are already hired with free room and board at campament keystone!
Gasoline demand in the U.S. sank 2.9 percent to 8.736 million barrels a day last year as pump prices averaged $3.521 a gallon, the highest in records dating back to 1919.
Total U.S. oil product demand fell 9.5 percent to 18.8 million barrels a day last year from 20.8 million in 2005, department data show.
“The reason we can export so much is demand in the U.S. is weak,” Cohan said. Since 2005, the U.S. has lost nearly 2 million barrels a day of total product consumption, he said.
If you want to stop exporting, try dropping the prices.
the only way of dropping the price is taking oil out of the commodities market .
oil demand has nothing to do with pricing if anything the less u sell the competition becomes more agressive
and bloomberg is not reliable they have been caught lying remember they re republicans
You trust our present administration to tell the truth? Oil prices have been climbing since 1999 with a dip in '02.
"Chicago, Ill. actually takes the cake when it comes to the highest average gas prices in the country where consumers pay almost $4.50 a gallon today.

Isn't that the home of the Obamas??? Then we have California too. What do California and Chicago have in common? That would be Socialist governors and mayors.
