Why some people only care about graphics in video games and why they either hate or dislikes the classics even when and if they are obsolete and yes including PS1 games

Fellow sodaheads and my friends on here i already asked a friend on here on her opinion about video games a spare question i asked on here just for her now i like to ask all of you as well and if you don't mind can you give me your honest opinions thanks this maybe or maybe not it's the next round about video games or to go with the question i asked about PS1 games.
The question is why do some people only care about graphics in video games and why they either hate or dislikes the classics even when and if they are obsolete and yes including PlayStation 1 games/PlayStation 2 games?
I ask because they say/or they act like ooooo graphics is so fucking awesome i love it even if the game is awful and when and if the fact the game is any good then that's OK for you to say you love it if it have good graphics or not and if you disagree with homestar92 on youtube i understand and i have to say i agree with him and his quote said"good graphics don't make a good games" and yes i do have a youtube account as well.
And yes don't worry i do have different favorite games of different game systems and different all time favorite games of different game systems if you want examples don't hesitate to ask and yes I'm including PS1/PS2,NES,SNES,Nintendo64 to name just a few and some of the games i use to have and i wish i still have them and others i still have/or i don't have yet.
this part is more like a bonus if you wish to answer it but am i only one who feels this way about those classics? If you want to know in my opinion those games are awesome like one of the examples and it's still one of my favorites Super Mario Brothers and Super Mario Brothers 2 and i think my dad still love them like i do.

I like to tell you as well my dream job man is to be a professional game designer and be the best there is and yes own my team as well I'm a little nervous i hope i can do it and don't worry i do love other games too and 2 main reasons i wanted to be a game designer is.

I'll take space invaders and asteroids over any new game :-)

I agree with you. the older games had more passion and love poured into them. it made each of them feel special and unique. i could spend hundreds of hours on a PlayStation RPG or a Nintendo platformer and still want more. these days i can play a xbox/ps3 game for 4 hours and feel the need to sell what i just bought. the gaming industry is not what it once was...
