Why isn't there the same uproar over Atheists getting married in churches that there seems to be over gay marriages?

I know a few friends of mine who are atheist and who have gotten married in churches without any uproar. Why the religious double standards?

Fortunately, I was raised in a Christian household that gives me the ability to both be a Christian and also not give a flying leap about the personal histories of two people who make the decision to get married. So marry away, everyone.
They save their outrage from the very (much harder) thing to hide. Wanting to marry a dude in someone's church is pretty much as hard to hide as a massive fart during the Sunday service. All an atheist has to do is shut up.
Sucks? Maybe. But you're not really comparing apples to apples here.
