Why is The Hunger Games popular even when they are killing each other

I saw The Hunger Games tonight and i dident like it.Now dont get mad at me if you injoyed it but me and my dad went to go see it and so much killing! It bother me and i tried to think why do people injoy seeing kids getting killed. I under stand some of it why the movie and books are popular. But I was wondering why do you like it so much?

because it tells a tale of what a girl wants and we get to see people fighting for there livesreply - tobe 2012/05/31 03:25:39 (edited)+2I was suggested to read the book when I was going through a really hard time and read it again when my grandmother died. I gained strength through the characters. Thats why I love it. I found Katniss, Gale and Peeta empowering. The killings are there yes but though the deaths are heartbreaking its the lives i read it for. The movie didn't capture that. That can only be found in books.reply
