I really don't know. I wouldn't, even though I have the clear complexion and blue eyes that would match it. It wouldn't look right I don't think. I have red highlights in my hair, but subtle like. Many women want to dye their hair the way they want rather than what actually looks good on them. The same is true for makeup and clothes.

Reddish blonde over grey/white, has great coverage and does not take on a blue or green tone. The white will also result in a streaking effect...nice look for an older woman like Judge Judy..

okay,my hair is naturally 3 colors,my own mom had ni idea what color my hair was. the top layers are red, underneath is dark brown and the hairline was blonde. right now i use my natural top color of reddish blonde. since everyone always thought i was a redhead anyway. but i am and have been gray for yrs. i have extremely fair skin, and i mean very fair.

wow I just typed out the full formula and it went bye bye lol dunno what happened...Okay, don't purchase the packaged color..too expensive. Go to a beauty supply house (sallie mae is one) purchase clairol grey busters in the shade you lke and close to the red blonde you are using..product is used in equal prts. with peroxide (buy that too..it's cheap) example, 1 oz of color product to 1 oz of peroxide..apply to roots, leave on 25 mins. You can also add a little shampoo to the remaining mix in your tint bottle and 5 mins before removing color add the remaining contents and soap your entire head...streaks are absolutely beautiful with red blondes..particulary in lt. gold and ultra lt gold or lt. neutral blonde. I prefer the neutrals myself..but if you prefer the lt and ultra lt. golds that is also good. Oh and darker colors under lighter colors are very nice..everyones doing it..and you have it naturally!! (you are lucky!!).

well you'll need the entire bottle for the first app..they come in 2 oz bottles..get a few..so you don't have to go every month..purchase a lrg. bottle of 20 vol. peroxide, a tint bottle, and gloves..and you are set!! There are great videos on utube showing exactly how to apply, so if you get stuck or worried just put in 'permanent color application/how to'..it will take you through all the steps..great tool for anyone!!

Oh. begin application where your roots are the lightest..you said hairline so begin there.make sure you saturate well, and don't pack the hair down (until the last 5 mins if you want to soap cap)..it needs oxygen to process..

Because it is an unobvious way to transition to gray.It is a gradual process.if you went gray overnight,no problem.but that ain't what happens.

as you age your skin tone is supposed to get darker so the natural color doesn't look right any more. so i have read!LOL

What I think is the absolute worst thing they could do is try to go darker.I had an 80 year old teacher that did that forever. It looked nasty, and sad.

I'm not so sure it starts out that way.All dye seems to turn red on gray hair.
I would much rather see natural gray than a bottled red.

LOL,two of my sisters had to quit dying their hair because the baby of the family had gone gray and I loved it and kept it.
still not sure if they were angry or relieved, but I think they both look better now that they are gray.
