I know most people DO NOT choose to be gay, I have more than like 5 different best buds who are gay, bi, lesbian. But I do know SOME people who DO choose to like the same sex.

It's not like you CHOOSE to like anyone. you just like them.
Hey, I don't advocate burning Gays at the stakes. Whatever or a sexual nature that consenting adults choose to do in the privacy of their bedroom or whereever, is their damn business. But those are private matters that should stay private.
I tend to believe gays being born gay, though.
I guess you're not gay yourself or you wouldn't argument the way you do. Being gay in this world is in no way easy and to get out of the closet is something you have to be very brave to do. Because if you do it, you risk losing your life the way it's been. You risk your family and friends turning away from you. If you're a Christian you might lose your congregation too, or if they won't make you leave, some for sure will start acting really awkward around you.
People who don't even know you will start judging you.
Now, you may ask "why would you even come out then?". You come out because you'll grow unhappy over time. Because you'll grow sick of lying to people all the time, of hiding yourself away. Maybe you'll fall in love and realize it's worth to fight to be able to be with the person you love. Maybe you'll just realize it's wrong of people to judge you for being gay and you want to fight against them (I mean politically, through demonstrations etc).

Paedophiles are psychologically regarded as suffering from a mental disorder, so I wouldn't call that a real choice either. That doesn't mean that I'm trying to excuse what they're doing in any way. To me, people praying on little children are monsters whatever it is that makes them this way. They should see it's morally wrong to lust after children and get treatment.

Why should it stay private? I mean sure, what exactly people do in their bedrooms I don't really want to know either.
But heterosexual couples are allowed to commit to each other in public or to show their affection for each other.
I think gay people deserve to be able to do that, too.
And I believe that people overall should know more about what it is like to be gay, so they wouldn't be so ready to judge!
That said, what consentin adults do in their bedroom is their business. I suspect there are somethings that I do that might be considered deviant, but as long as my wife has no complaints, so be it.
I won't be joining in Gay marches, but I do support equality for all people. If Gays want to pretend to be married, let them have at it.
I just wished you wouldn't use words like "grotesque" when talking about other human beings who have done nothing to insult you, except admitting theit love to each other in public.

nobody. i knew what i liked when i was two, although i didn't quite know why, i knew there was something really cute about girls and women too. then i found out why.
Gays no more choose their sexuality than they choose their skin color. It simply is who they are, the way they were born.
The only choice is whether they come out of the closet or not.
Actually, SOME folks do choose but SOME can't, they're either born that way or have been traumatized (into promiscuity?) by sexual abuse while at an impressionable age.
(Pierre Trudeau RIP), what consenting adults do in reasonable privacy is not my primary sexual hangup with Humanity, it's intolerance of such.
