Why do so many liberals resent stay at home moms?

They are generally afraid of the impact of what I will call the Matriarch... There are so many examples of what that Matriarchal example can do to positively influence children, family's, neighborhoods and other environments. There are also examples if you will in the wild: Elephants, Lions, Dear and many others, where the "stay at home" mother is part of a tight knit group of other mothers, typically with the oldest and wisest being the Matriarch. They teach the young about life, where the watering holes are, how to fend for themselves, etc. Same with real stay at home mom's that teach principles to their children and take care of ever member of the family! The liberal women are afraid of this impact on society, because well, it flies in the face of their version of equality! I remember growing up, my father, a very strong and proud man, who loves my mother so very much always said, "Son, I am afraid of no man, but I am afraid of your mother!" He said it half joking, but he meant it in the best way. For instance, "Dad, Mom says I am grounded for forgetting to take out the trash and feed the dog", My father would say, "Son remember what I said, learn from it, if your mother says you are grounded, you are grounded!"

To be honest, it's not really even about stay-at-home moms as much as it is about women who have this impact on their families and those around them. I recently read a story about a gentlemen in Africa who had spent his life working with elephants that shows an example of the devotion and leadership of these types of Matriarchs:


Lawrence Anthony, a legend in South Africa and author of 3 books including the bestseller ‘The Elephant Whisperer’, bravely rescued wildlife and rehabilitated elephants all over the globe from human atrocities, including the courageous rescue of Baghdad Zoo animals during US invasion in 2003. On March 7, 2012 Lawrence Anthony died. He is remembered and missed by his wife, two sons, two grandsons and numerous elephants. Two days after his passing, the wild elephants showed up at his home led by two large matriarchs.

Separate wild herds arrived in droves to say goodbye to their beloved man-friend. A total of 20 elephants had patiently walked over 12 miles to get to his South African house.

Witnessing this spectacle, humans were obviously in awe not only because of the supreme intelligence and precise timing that these elephants sensed about Lawrence’s passing, but also because of the profound memory and emotion the beloved animals evoked in such an organized way: Walking slowly - for days - making their way in a solemn one-by-one queue from their habitat to his house.

Lawrence’s wife, Francoise, was especially touched, knowing that the elephants had not been to his house prior to that day for well over a year! But yet they knew where they were going.

The elephants obviously wanted to pay their deep respects, honoring their friend who’d saved their lives. They stayed for two days and two nights. Then one morning, they left, making their long journey back home.

My closing point: A society with a strong Matriarchal impact becomes a stronger society!
