Why do people use cuss words ?
The other day my wife asked me , why do you swear so much ? Its like every other word comes out your mouth is a cuss word .Well this got me to thinking , why does someone use profanity ? It only adds words to your statements , for instance ,this car is a fu##ing pile of sh^% instead of this car is junk . See , extra words that mean the same thing . And after a day of conversing with others thats a lot of extra verbage .
And what makes the seven dirty words dirty , who was the scholar that figured that one out ? What makes the word Sh#t any more offensive than feces or bowel movement ? So as one professional cusser to another , can you tell me , I sure dont know . Oh yeah , why do some people find the use of profanity so disgusting , if you heard it before it aint nothing new and if you never have then you dont know what it is .

It can definitely get your point across when you're too angry to take the time to stop and think of something better to say. Sure, some people are going to say it makes you sound uneducated. Educated people come up with some of the best strung-together cursing phrases I've ever heard.
As for why the dirtiest words are considered the dirtiest, I don't know. And if you haven't heard George Carlin's whole bit about that, where have you been, and why haven't you heard it yet? Also, "sh!t" used to be a word that made me cringe. It doesn't bother me now, but "feces" and "vomit" still do for some reason. I have a strong stomach but can't handle those things.:|
