If you raise your own kids right, you wont have to raise your grandkids too.

Hey cyberspown (my son). Anyway I was a teen mom and I didn't have any clue about all the consequences of have children early, but once I had them I took the time to raise to the best of my ablility. And this is not because I didn't want my mother to step in, but her model was "if you lay down and play, you will stand up and pay. And she meant business. You wasn't allowed to fall down and need someone to step in. There was no, I want to go out and be a teen. I was a mother and so I had to behave in that manner. Yes I gave up my childhood, but it allowed me to grow as a person. Most girls don't get the message that once you become a mom or dad there are sacrifice that one is going to have to make. Either teen is going to make the sacrifice or the kid, however in most case it the kids.

i'm 17 and pregnant and i have a brain. i used protection and was on birth control. my dad, will not be taking care of her. it was my fault and i'll deal with it. dont downgrade younger mothers. no we can't buy our children everything they want, but we can support them with the same amount of love as older mothers. theyre are programs out there to help mothers, who actually need it. don't call young moms stupid or niave. it makes you ignorant. yes some teens can be stupid and do expect mommy and daddy to do everything, but not all so don't make such a general statement.

When kids (age 14-18) have babies....that mean they don't have a brain...they are not smart enough to think of all the consequences...

Because most parents love their children...when this type of situation happened, they just have to accepted it & be supportive ..and also help the kid care for the baby so that the kid have a chance to grow-up and make it on their own.

Even when parents did all the right things and raise their kids properly....thing like this still can happen

they have babies because they were not taught that their actions have consequences.

They don't mean to have kids. They just have sex and then get pregnant, resulting in an unwanted child.
There was this one girl when I was in middle school, she got pregnant. She killed the baby by smoking a lot of weed and drinking a lot of beer. It happened to more times to the same chick. Just the thought of it makes me sick...

They are stupid and naive to think they are mature and responsible enough to care for a child when they weren't mature and responsible enough to use some form of birth control.

Why? Because they live a life that has no consequences for bad decisions; that's bad parenting, and they're kids.

it's great. I know how much time it takes to care for a child and I know without baby sitting a little our kids would never be able to find time to bring the kids over to see us. Now as for dumping them off after haveing them so that we can raise them.......Nope!!!

UGH .. (just sheer selfishness .. lust .. combined with raging hormones and overblown sense of entitlement ..)

There's no excuse for this .. ANYONE That can NOT properly care for their child and give up their selfishness .. their hedonistic transient microsecond of pleasure .. then they should give the child up for adoption to Loving, Caring .. and RESPONSIBLE ADULTS ...

most are just way over their head, or need their parents to help while they finish school.
and some, who just dont even try to care for the baby, its the best for the baby that that happens.

Actually they are probably not thinking period if they have a kid as a teen. It's a very big responsiblity.

your right, it is a huge resposiblilty, but i was (and still am) able to care for 3 children before i even turned 18 (im 19, almost 20 now). most teens need their parents help with the baby when they go to school or go out shopping a few times with friends or whatever.
but i see you point, for some teens, they just dont even care, they think, its going to be so easy, but then they have the baby and within a week, they cant do it anymore, and in those cases, its best that the babies grandparents step up (or the babies put up for adoption)

I hate to spoil you joy baby, but if you have 3 kids before 20 then you better brace yourself, because you are getting ready to go on a bumpy ride. I had two before I was 20 (I'm 46 now), and I can tell you right now it wasn't as easy as you are thinking that it is. Stay focus and commit to getting to a better level in life, it is the only thing that will keep you going.
