Why do high school girls roll their skirts up then sit with their feet up on public transport?

They still do that? They did that kind of thing with school uniforms when I was in school in the 70s. I don't see that many girls in skirts where I live, and we don't have any public transport, really. (unfortunately, New Jersey is the driving capital of the US, methinks.)

I was in school in the nineties they didn't do what they do now that's for sure. Catholic high school girls seem to wear the shortest skirts for some reason

The women I talk to often say that they feel more powerful when they dress in "sexy" clothing. Which correlates with the fact that women's sexual freedom was headed off by feminist in the first place

Well, first off, not all of them. Secondly, I suppose for varied reasons. Mostly to call attention, either through shock value, by wanting to attract the males (or females, depending from case to case), or showing off.

I reject the term slut, because there is no sexual slur for men (that I know of). If it's wrong for one side, it's wrong for the other.

Well its usually the older high school girls that do it. The ones that look about 13-15. Year 9, 10, and 11 i think

I am about to start my 9th year (or 'grade' here in the US), so I'm around that age. But yeah, I hate how some girls do things like that. Drives me crazy.

Ah I see. over in the UK high school starts at 11, and is called year 7. I've never seen the younger ones do it, the ones in year 7 and 8 (aged 11 and 12).
