So i'm in Walmart getting Dirty Rice for my Mom and it occurred to me: Why are there so many different kinds of rice?! White rice,brown rice, yellow rice!

Dirty rice is seasoned, white rice is bleached, brown rice is natural, Yellow is a saffron seasoning I believe, the main long, and short grain, are different in the texture,
