Why are people being so rude?

People make me so mad sometimes

Do you work with the public? I used to and I know how rude they can be. That is probably why I don't like that many people these days. I don't have to put with that any more and I don't!

I get rude right back most of the time. I have noticed a sharp increase in rude behavior, along with inconsideration and an, its all about me attitude.

Respectfully disagree...some of the kindest, down to earth, salt of the earth people I know, who would give you the shirt off of their back are the least educated. Just my observation.

Generally when someone is rude, I ignore them because it is usually a pathetic ploy to engage you in some negative behavior. I worked in retail sales for years, and people are inherently rude to sales staff. Sometimes, if some one was super rude, I would not give them as good a price as I could have. Sometimes, I would "run" out of tape in the computer. That was usually good to make them wait a long time for dumb little old me to change it out. >snicker< It is true, blondes do have more fun.

LOL! it's the little things we can do to annoy them as much as they annoy us :)

I do SO appreciate people who are courteous in their interactions with others. I do believe that I've noticed more people being indifferent to their surroundings, and other people. Maybe it is just that there are more of us, but the "I don't give a sh*t" attitude is going strong.

I just keep hoping that people will get sick of the attitudes and realize to get respect THEY have to give respect first. So many people demand respect while being truly rude and hateful

True, they do. For some of us, treating others with courtesy and respect is second nature. For me, that second nature is "challenged" when I encounter people who are downright hateful; I confess. Sometimes I think those people are just feeling miserable with THEMSELVES, but sometimes they're just mean-spirited bullies.

I'm not a rude person and I have no time for rude people.

Want to punch them in the face. I find elderly women to be especially rude and judgemental.

Honestly, now-a-days I try to be more mind-full of it and try not to act like that. When I was younger, I would be more short tempered with people. Now that I'm older, I'm way more laid back and easy going, but alot more confident and I don't have to prove myself either.

Rude people have "issues." It's not you; it's them. For them life it harder than it is for you and it frustrates them eventually driving them to hostility. In many instances the happier the stranger seems the angrier the underperformer becomes.

You don't deserve any response from me other than the base minimum to get you away from me.

I really feel the rudeness comes from not being raised right. Those who feel safe from concequences of being a but - get rude the fastest.

Sigh - To have the occasional DAY when someone calling for tech support can at LEAST be polite,........

You're in tech support? That's depressing LOL that's what I am working in school towards. I was hoping people were nice when asking for help!! what is wrong with people?

I saw it as a break from computer repair,.... Now years later - I ache to get back to dealing ONLY with computers.

You have people who don't know a diode from a capacitor or an DLL from an executable talking down to you because they believe they are paying your salary to walk them through fixing their stuff.

SIGH.

I'm thinking it's a good 60/40 as far as polite to rude callers. These guys expect you to write code and compile right over the phone, see nothing wrong with asking why not in cases where the offending item is hardwired, and blaim you personally for product design.

If I didn't like a good puzzle from time to time, I'da left this years ago - but every few calls someone comes up with something enough out of the ordinary to make me flex the mental muscle, and I get to be a geek for a while. BONUS if the caller is polite and actually asking for help.

I don't believe that there are many genuinely nice people in the world. Maybe there is some but very few. Welcome to the cold cruel world we live in.

The rudeness is caused mostly by the way we are all isolating ourselves from each other with our electronic toys. The anger is mostly caused by the lack of truth and racial/religious biases in what news we are actually given!

I call them on it. A good tongue lashing usually makes most people at least pretend to be courteous. Some of them, however, should probably just be euthanized. If they want to behave like uncivilized animals, then why not treat them like uncivilized animals?

...continue to be civil an courteous. Most, eventually, calm down. Civility and courtesy are low energy states, rudeness is a high energy state. When faced with people radiating low energy, those that are at the opposite end of the spectrum transfer the energy differential to the low energy people who simply "earth it". Result? Overall calmness :)

I think there's a growing trend in the number people who feel a lot more detached from society and lack any sense of community values and personal responsibility than people generally once had and this "its all about me" attitude seems to translate into rudeness, anger and even violence as they have no respect those they are interacting with.
