Beanie was a young boy who lived on a boat called The Leakin' Lena with his only human companion whom he called Uncle Captain Sir, had a pet sea serpent named Cecil who looked just like a green sock puppet with button eyes. There was one evildoer always causing problems, named Dishonest John, also known as "DJ , you dirty guy".
This cartoon was a creation of Bob Clampett who had worked at Warner Brothers for years and did many Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig cartoons.
