I still remember Red Foley, Eddie Arnold, Bob Wills an d many others. We used to listen to the clear channel stations from atop a terrace in Glendora, New Jersey. The second story was approximately 40 feet above the the normal height for the area. We received WWVA and WSM like they were local stations. Coffee Drinkin' Lee More was selling autographed bibles for $9.95. I never figured how Jesus autographed them.
I also heard Hank Williams on the Grand Ol Opry. I might have heard him on the Original Louisiana Hayride, also. Thsoe were some fine times in country music.
