ooo idk, you use a picture of texting while driving.
I had a woman hit me head-on in Feb bc she had to text her friend.
My daughter lost her best friend bc she wanted to tell her sister she loved her as she drove down the road.
I think I'm against it.
As far as texting when I'm at home? IF it requires more than 1 answer back and forth, call me!!

It's convenient. You can make plans quickly and without having to call up everyone or get sucked into long phone conversations. I only have actual text/phone conversations with a few close people though. I'd rather see them in person.

at times it gets annoying. i hate it when someone tries to get the other person's attention and they're just texting and not paying any mind to them. im like come on, is texting really that important?

That happens quite a few times with me. I find texting and the whole concept a sort of distraction of types but then find it also is quite convenient. Sure I get annoyed when I have to repeat my question to the 'ignore-r' more than 3 times but texting is a good keep-up-to-date ....thing. :)

It does get quite additive after awhile....really addictive. Up until I run out of credit that is....I don't really like spending my money on topping up my phone continually. Its a money sucker for sure! ;)

Just imagine, if you two are together still when you are much, much more older, maybe some kids and grandchildren who run up to you and ask, "How did you and grandpa get together?"
Instead of giving those lame, typical "We were friends from childhood and had a bond!" Or "It was at a school dance and your grandpa had asked for a dance!" you can say the Modern technological version, "It was by text!~"

yeah we were texting each other after our school had an early evacuation (the chemistry classes don't know how properly clean up toxic chemicals) and i don't remember what were talking about but he told me that he always thinks highly of me. i asked him why cause i figured he was lying. and he said it's cause i have feelings for you, best hook up ever <3

I text as needed.
Oddly enough that your photo for this poll is showing someone texting while driving.

To me, that's not texting, that's not addiction, that's just down right stupidity.
I don't eat while driving.
I don't make calls while driving, I avoid phone calls while driving. If I don't have my bluetooth, then I don't take the call.

It's common sense safety folks. My safety is still at risk because of your stupidity.

Bumper stickers I'd like to see
-Drive or talk/text but you suck at both
-Your driving sucks... hang up and try better

I'm mainly not a fan because I think it's rude how some people use it, you would never start writing a letter at a dinner party but for some reason people think it's okay to ignore everyone in the room and text away between bites.
