Users from religiously themed dating sites, JDate and Christian Mingle, were asked to name their “favorite political news funnyman.” Not surprisingly, Jon Stewart, who is indeed Jewish, "was the overwhelming favorite of the JDate poll (51 percent) while Catholic Stephen Colbert won a plurality of the votes on Christian Mingle (39 percent)."

In addition to Stewart and Colbert, the other two political satirists listed in the survey included “Real Time” host Bill Maher or “Weekend Update” anchor Seth Meyers. Who do you prefer to get your political satire from?

I love Lewis Black as a Comedian i think he is much better on stage then in a studio, But i also don't consider those other guys comedians, anyone can tell a joke written by someone else but Stand up comedy is an Art form.

I am sure all of them started that way he was also on SNL for a long time but has had his own show since jan 1999 that does political satire and is probably what he is best known for,i for one know i never heard of him before SNL and i don't even watch that show.

I started watching him when he had The Jon Stewart Show in 1993. He had some great bands play live on there....similar to the up and coming bands that Jimmy Kimmel has now.

They all have their moments (some bad ones too), but he's consistently pretty good. Seth Meyers is coming on strong in my book, however; I haven't had the chance to hear him that much yet.

Stewart is not only funny, but also humble and fairly objective.

Colbert is funny, but he's also full of himself, and transparently biased.

Maher isn't funny, he's full of himself, AND he's transparently biased.

but " Claiming Bill Maher is not biased is like saying Fox news is fair and balanced" is your answer, because if you think Maher is not biased you are no better then Fox viewers that think Glen Beck is a serious news show.
