i dont think john edwards was hated because of his affair, but i could be wrong. sometimes it happens when people are in politics or the limelight... like it did with clinton. (not to condone it, its best to be close enough to your mate to develop the relationship to the point that those "affairs" dont ever happen.)

Jesse James was in a ERA where the railroad forced his mother off her property. I can't say I blame him for robbing trains but as for killing people yeah id say he was wrong. Lol. But I wouldn't put him in the same category as Manson or any other infamous serial killer.
