Probably in June to Oklahoma to see our son, then to Vegas to visit our daughter, Then to The coast at Santa Barbara for a few days, then a drive home up the Coast Highway. Love our Prius.

Actually we do about two road trips per week, as we live in Bellingham and Kirkland, WA. That means over 300 miles per week at the least. HOWEVER, I would be willing to pay $10. per gallon (we would budget for it) IF it meant the demise of bo in 2012.......

Cheaper for family of four to drive to visit relatives roughly 675 miles away than fly.
Neither mode is a bargain; both are budget-busters.

My wife and I take several trips a year. They are usually unplanned. We just start out on a drive and keep going. Washington State has a bounty of beautiful areas to explore.
