I think Greek is the prettiest language. It has the most well tied together alphabet. Heck, the work alphabet comes from Greek. Greek Writing

Yes, "alphabet" refers to the first 2 letters in Greek: Alpha (Alfa) and Beta.

The first two letters of Hebrew are Alep (Alef) and Bet, although the Alep was a glottal stop rather than a vowel.

Greek is notable for adding vowels to the alphabet.

Egyptian Hieratic and hieroglyphs coexisted with and are possibly related to proto-Sinaitic.
Perhaps proto-Sinaitic let to Old South Arabian, and also the proto-Canaanite / Phoenician / paleo-Hebrew alphabet.
Phoenician led to Aramaic / Syrian.
Aramaic led to modern Hebrew, Arabic, Kharosthi, possibly Old Turkish, and possibly Brahmi.
    Phoenician led to Greek.
Greek led to Italic (including Latin), Cyrillic, and Coptic (which also borrowed from Demotic).
probably either Greek or Italic led to Runic / Futhark.

(Other ancient writing systems include, among others: Cuneiform (starting with Sumerian), Cretan hieroglyphs and Linear A, Indus Valley, Mesoamerican hieroglyphs, and Chinese.)

modern English text (Latin alphabet) in a sans-serif font. Also, Icelandic. Hebrew, in the modern "square" alphabet, in a serif font, perhaps without the points. Cursive Arabic looks pretty, but I wouldn't want to have to read it. Also, Cuneiform (such as Akkadian) looks cool.

I learned Pitman shorthand when I was a teenager. My first job, I used it solidly, day after day, so much so, that I will never forget it. It's a wonderful asset.

I'm Indian too, but I never learned how to barely speak, read and write in Hindi; but I do like some Indian food, movies and music!! Why am I saying this...because I was raised and adopted by White people. They didn't teach or learn me any Indian culture; just the White culture I grew up with and know, very, very well!!

No I was adopted by White/Caucasian people; not by my own race. My hometown where I grew up is all white people only; we barely have people of color living or visiting there. My hometown is not diversified at all!!
