Which topic do you find more annoying on sodahead? Religion or Politics?

Sorry to say this but it's in practically every discussion on sodahead.
My problem is i can't seem to figure out what's more annoying. I respect peoples belief but i don't respect when others place their beliefs on everyone else, as if you are the holy grail. Because your religion may not and should not reflect on other beliefs and religions, That even goes for "ATHEIST"!! Because whether or not you think about it you don't believe in a "GOD " you're still having a belief.

As for as politics are concerned this country and the rest of the world will continue going down aslong as people sit behind a computer not doing anything to help this country and the world we live in called "EARTH".

I Highly doubt any alien would ever want to step foot on this planet. They'd probably look at humans and RUN!

All i'm saying is i wish people can just have conversations without slamming others and saying some shit OH you right winger or left winger yada yada,. OR you're going to "HELL" because you think different. I can think for my self thanks

People become so disgustingly militant about both! Too often it's reduced to name-calling and the like. People insist on SHOVING their opinions, not SHARING them.

These are two hot button subjects. I don't mind a good discussion about either one of these subjects but it seems most people become abusive when you don't agree with their ideas. Then the name calling begins and some even block you. They can't discuss anything they just want to scream at you in capital letters.

Nobody can "place their beliefs on" anyone else! These are opinion / discussion sites.
What you are really saying is; You don't like to see people discuss matters you disagree with or are not interested in.. In any case it is an argument for ignorance. An attempt to keep freedom of speech, and religion in the shadows. So only evil and ignorance can see the light of day..

Don't twist my topic thank you. For example i'm talking about candy and then somone comes talking about obama and mit romney or making some religous attack on someone. Can you explain to me then when the orginal topic was about "candy" and someone comes talking about religion and politics? I didn't think so.

The people that join in on political subjects just don't know when to STFU. Over and over incessant ranting, and when they meet an opposing viewpoint that they can't counter, they change the subject or start in on the name calling and derogatory remarks. Mostly by left leaning progressive liberals I might add.

Religion doesn't bother me. I learn to tolerate over religious people, most religious debates are with people who are good people, and I don't mind that. But political extremist always seem to get on my nerves. They usually come off as bigots and always stretch the truth of what is really going on. For example comparing Obama to Hitler... ... ... That is a little much, I mean, I don't see how a man who have made stupid decisions compare to a guy who caused the death of 6 million Jews.

I don't find any subjects annoying. People have their own opinions. Some are based on ignorance and some are valid. I just don't have a problem............at all.
