After a National Geographic Channel poll revealed that 65% of Americans believe that Barack Obama would be better suited to handle and alien invasion than Mitt Romney, we were curious hear what SodaHeads had to say about the issue.
When analyzing National Geographic’s results, Erik Hayden of TIME NewsFeed was quick to point out that both candidates are well-versed in science fiction.
“Romney . . . enjoyed Star Trek on TV (though reportedly doesn’t consider himself a Trekkie), likes Star Wars, is a fan of Battlefield Earth (the book, if you please) and says Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game is one of his favorites, according to a Politico profile earlier this year.”

He added, “Obama is no sci-fi slouch either, having given nods to both Star Wars and Star Trek while in office. Well-versed in the ways of the Force, he’s been spotted on the White House lawn jousting with a Jedi lightsaber. He’s also flashed Star Trek’s Vulcan salute in the Oval Office when he posed for a photo with the show’s Nichelle Nichols earlier this year.”
Hayden also pointed out that this is one time when Obama’s analytical Spock-like demeanor—something he’s tried to downplay in the past—may actually be working for him.
So what do you think SodaHeads? Which presidential candidate is better suited to handle an alien invasion?

Look, all the activist that support him get what they want and I really don't want to be under their control and herded like cattle.
than OBUMMER, WHO WANTS TO GIVE
us AWAY!
And as a lifelong Trekker, I find that image offensive. Spock would have found Obama's policies highly illogical.
they will not kill us if we just sign this treaty.. We will help them pass the Bath Salt
Kagan would be the head lawyer ...Man and Wife is IIlegal if your found to be with a new born we will murder it...
.. Implant Micro Chips all Human so they can be tracked , And lets not for get the new care Bill. .dental fillings amalgam mercury poisoning.. you will have them and most of all even the Head top Generals ...our Cry out.....But But its toxic.the signal of the wire-less system will mess with our thinking some would be come slaves....Obama lawyers and fda .yes we know...Obama to his Top General start the Signal spike Hum...we don't want any 1 to think clearly so they will not think we will fight them so they will not fight us does any i have any bath salts

..Rick Santurm would help the matter by say I will not support this we most not give our defense forces Flack Jackets...
They need to be more like George Soros and Ted Turner, and only fund liberal and socialist organizations.
Obama took no money from Goldman-Sachs, while McCain....oh, waitaminnit! Yes, he did. Hypocrisy is very unbecoming.
It's always been a source of amusement to me, that wealthy, capitalist patrons only seem to be appropriate for the side that hates wealth and capitalism.
You do realize that the Koch brothers and Rupert Murdoch, together, only give a fraction to conservatives, of what the other two give to liberals?
The Koch brothers ( American capitalists ) here are attempting to stop a man ( Obama, a socialist/ communist , with islamic/shari'a ties ) ) from destroying our FREE economy. Soros interest is not even as a citizen of the US .. I believe he was an Hungarian who came to the US in late 1950's nd became a LEGAL citizen of the US in 1961. And take a very hard look at his influence here financially in the US and worldwide since his arrival .... ALWAYS follow the money trail no matter how difficult people like this make that to do...
Here is an article linking Soros to many many banking and other types of "funds" which are linked to Obama disturbingly often .. for all the amounts of accusations Obama makes concerning other rich people helping Romney he has zero room to talk..but obviously many people fail to make that conection eh? http://archive.newsmax.com/ar...
Look at all those names of companies and see how Obama is connected.
Try doing a little actual research, sometime, rather than simply parroting what Chris Matthews, Rachel MadCow and Keith D'OH!-lbermann tell you . It helps.
Conservatives, despite their reputation for wealth and priviledge, are not the money machine here. I'm certainly not "rich", nor are any conservative-leaning people I personally know. We're all working-class joes who have enough brains to see and actually understand what's happening to the country, and we don't like it.
You've got to remember that not only are the super-rich megalomaniacs like Soros and Turner chunking cash into the liberal coffers, but they also have vastly wealthy, brainless and self-loathing Hollywood, too. And Bill Gates contributes a lot of green to a lot of liberals causes, too.
From US News:

In "The New Leviathan: How the Left-Wing Money Machine Shapes American Politics and Threatens America's Future", Horowitz, a bestselling author, and Jacob Laksin, managing editor of the FrontPage Magazine website, argue that the large amount of money these groups wield has changed the nature of the political system in the United States. Horowitz recently spoke with U.S. News about the sources of this wealth and the groups that hold it."

And by the way, I deserve whatever I work for; no more, no less, just like anyone else.
Having taken a look at some of your posts on other threads, I'd say it's the weird fascination thing.
Do tell: do you have any ability to take part in an actual discussion, or does your repertoire simply involve throwing out lame attempts at insults and references to pee?
In other words, typical liberal tactics. Well done!
And who the hell is "Lembeckitti"? I assumed you were referring to Glenn Beck, but since I've come to realize that I'm dealing with a true village idiot here, I'm not sure anymore.
You really have no actual facts, from either direction, to work from, do you? You don't debate the issues, you just cast lame aspersions, and call it good.
Lol Okay, I'm bored with you, liberal...you win. Your pointless, brainless responses have worn me down.
Let the Commiecrats take your hard-earned money and give it to people who didn't earn it. That is, if you even have a job. Good luck, moron.
Seems Democrats are frequently bankers..capitalists ... business owners.. entertainers ... often extremely wealthy people who love money .. etc etc etc ... JUST like Republicans.
Fair dealer.. your chosen name in here does not work on people who study financial history of either major political party in the USA .
You may as well just stop this ridiculous charade and stand become a loyal American ..
and cease being a loyal politician.
...
After all these exchanges, though, I have to say...you're just freakin' crazy, and I'm done with you.
Go play with your urinal. Goodbye.
And no, you can't play in it.

But again.. pesky facts seem to not matter to quite a few eh?
He is not going to "get it" so to speak, eh? You are a very patient person, Jack.
