yes violent but not really scary whereas silence of the lambs was genuinely creepy and freaky in my opinion anyways

Silence of the lambs because he was a total nutcase, a threat to society and considering the current world...plausible. Batman is a super hero who is all fantasy.

Silence of the Lambs is far better than the other ..
however ..
for truly intriguing .. mind-games ..
you need to watch the old Hitchcock BW Movies ..
(Psycho comes to mind here .. )

It is the dialogue .. what is said (and not said) that makes these old classics so .. scary .. indeed ..

I don't find either one scary, I think that they are both just plain awesome. Then again, movies don't scare me. They're both too entertining to be scary in my opinion. Silence of the Lambs is just really weird and has some good funny moments, and Batman Returns is just funny.

I think the scariest movie ever made was Psycho, When you go to see a movie with a big name star you just have your socks knocked off when that star is bumped of in the beginning of the movie. What a shocker. I wonder how many people have hated taking a shower when they are home alone since then.
